Theertha malai

Theerthamalai is an important sacred place in Harur taluk of Dharmapuri district, located in Tamil Nadu, India. The name Theerthamalai in Tamil means Hill with Holy Water. Theerthamalai is a village situated about 16 km (about 9.9 mi) northeast of Harur. Theerthagirishwarar Temple is located at the top of a hillock. The temple, situated about 1 km (about 0.6 mi) up the steep slope of the hillock, derives its name from the five springs in the temple. Lord Theertha Girishwara (Shiva) is the worshipping deity.

Hogenakkal Falls

Hogenakkal Falls is a waterfall in South India on the Kaveri river on the border between Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu “Niagara Falls of India,” it is known for bathing areas and hired boat rides and as a major tourist attraction. Carbonatite rocks in this site are considered to be the oldest of its kind in South Asia and one of the oldest in the world. The Government of Tamil Nadu made a proposal to convert the falls into providing drinking water for the state.

Chenraya Perumal Temple

     Chenraya Perumal Temple is a Hindu temple located in the town of Adhiyamankottai, 7 km from Dharmapuri on the Salem road. The temple is dedicated to Vishnu and is believed to have been constructed by Hoysala and Vijayanagar kings, the most prominent being Krishnadevaraya.It is a monument of national importance, designated code N-TN-C18 by Archaeological Survey of India.This temple is located in Dharmapuri district.

Subramanya Siva Memorial

Subramaniya Siva was born in a brahmin Iyer family to Veersaiva Iyer at Batlagundu near Dindigul in erstwhile Madurai district of Madras presidency. He was born to Rajam Iyer. He joined the Indian freedom movement in 1908
