Thiruchendeur Temple

Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy Temple, Tiruchendur is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is second among six abodes of lord Murugan (Arupadaiveedugal) situated in Tamil Nadu, India. The puranic name or historical name for this temple is Jayanthipuram. This temple is the fourth Hindu temple in Tamil Nadu to get ISO certification.[1] It is located in the eastern end of the town Tiruchendur in the district of Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, India. It is 40 km from Thoothukudi, 60 km south-east of Tirunelveli and 75 km north-east of Kanyakumari. The temple complex is on the shores of Bay of Bengal. Temple is open from 5 AM to 9 PM.


Kalugu Malai Temple

Kalugasalamoorthy Temple (or Kalugumalai Murugan temple) in Kalugumalai, a panchayat town in Thoothukudi district in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, is dedicated to the Hindu god Murugan. Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is believed to have been expanded during the 18th century with the images excavated from Kalugumalai.  The temple is maintained and administered by the Hindu Religious and Endowment Board of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

V. O. Chidambaranar Port Trust is one of the 13 major ports in India. It was declared to be a major port on 11 July 1974. It is the second largest port in Tamil Nadu and third largest container terminal in India. V. O. Chidambaranar Port Trust is an artificial port. This is the third international port in Tamil Nadu and it is the second all-weather port. All V. O. Chidambaranar Port Trust’s traffic handling has crossed 10 million tons from 1 April to 13 September 2008, registering a growth rate of 12.08 per cent, surpassing the corresponding previous year handling of 8.96 million tons.

Manabad Beach

Manapad is a coastal village in far south India, 60 kilometres (37 mi) from Tuticorin and 18 km (11 mi) south of Tiruchendur.St. Francis Xavier came to Manapad in 1542, when he began missionary activity on the Fishery coast. He lived in a grotto cavern on the seaward face of a cliff and held mass at a chapel of the Captain’s Cross, built from a ship’s mast after a storm in 1540. Holy Cross Church, built close to the sea in 1581, has a relic fragment believed to be from the True Cross of Jerusalem. From 1 to 14 September, every year, the cross is publicly displayed for thousands who attend the festival season.

AzhwarThirunagari Perumal Temple

Azhwarthirunagari Perumal Temple is one of the Nava Tirupathi, in AlwarThirunagari, a town in Thoothukudi district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. It is located 26 km from Tirunelveli. Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is glorified in the Divya Prabandha, the early mediaeval Tamil canon of the Azhwar saints from the 6th–9th centuries AD.
