Meenakshi amman Temple

Meenakshi Amman Temple, or popularly called as Madurai Meenakshi Temple, is a famous religious destination in Tamil Nadu. Being the largest temple complex in Tamil Nadu, there are a lot more other interesting facts about this temple.Recently, the temple has been tagged as one of the seven wonders of India along with other stunning monuments like Taj Mahal.There are over 33,000 sculptures in the temple complex of Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai.

 Thiruparankundram murugan Temple

Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy Temple, Thiruparankundram is a Hindu temple and one of the Six Abodes of Murugan, located at Thiruparankundram,Tamilnadu, India. The temple is built in rock-cut architecture and believed to have been built by the Pandyas during the 6th century. According to the legend it is where Murugan slayed the demon Surapadman and married Deivayanai, the divine daughter of the king of heaven, Indra, and he is said to have worshiped Shiva here as Arunagirinathar.

Gandhi Museum

Gandhi Memorial Museum, established in 1959, is a memorial museum for Gandhi located in the city of Madurai in Tamil Nadu, India. Known as Gandhi Museum, it is now one of the five Gandhi Sangrahalaya (Gandhi Museums) in the country. It includes a part of the blood-stained garment worn by Gandhi when he was assassinated by Nathuram Godse.

Samanar Hills

Samanar Hills, also known as Samanar Malai or Amanarmalai or Melmalai, is a rocky stretch of hills located near Keelakuilkudi village, 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) west of Madurai city, Tamil Nadu, India. They stretch east–west over 3 kilometers towards Muthupatti village. These rocky hillocks are home to many Jain and Hindu monuments. The hill has been declared as a protected monument by the Archeological Survey of India.

                    

Alagar Temple

Alagar  Temple, one of the ancient temples also known as Azhagar Kovil or Kallazhagar Temple is located in small village Alagar Kovil, at the foothills of Alagar hills and just 21 km north east of Madurai – the temple city, Tamil Nadu. This temple is dedicated to supreme Lord Vishnu and one of the important pilgrimage shrines near Madurai.


Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal

Built in 1636, as a focal point of his capital at Madurai, Thirumalai Nayak intended the palace to be one of the grandest in South India. The design and architecture is a blend of Dravidian and Rajasthani styles. The Interior of the palace surpasses many of its Indian contemporaries in scale. The interior is richly decorated whilst the exterior is treated in a more austere style.
